Instructions for T.O.M. Storytellers

T.O.M. Storytellers Briefing
When you click the join link, you will enter the Practice Room (not visible from the attendees)
Please log in at least 15 minutes before the event time for your camera and microphone test before we broadcast the event.
The venue (Webinar Practice room) will be open 30 minutes before the event. Come early and let’s chat with other storytellers, and event hosts: Tim, Oscar, and Misako.
How to Log in as a storyteller
T.O.M Storytellers Lab is using Zoom Webinar = Only Webinar panelists (hosts, storytellers, promoted guests) are on the screen.
Each storyteller will be provided a unique login link to enter as a panelist. Your login link looks like below, the ridiculously long URL. It should be clickable.
If you haven’t received the login URL yet, please contact me, Misako (misakouroco@gmail.com or +1-360-602-1726 I’m in the U.S.) I’ll be monitoring FB messenger as well.

Your Story Guideline
- Story length: 8 min – 10 min, about 800 to 1200 words.
- To check your speech length: Words to Minutes converter
- Stories must be yours, at least 80 % of it
- Please make sure your story is theme related (literally or metaphorically, twists are welcome)
- Please do NOT share any personal information (it’s a public event).
- The event will be recorded, and may be published for promotional purposes.

TOM Storytelling Hour is a Public event
The event will be recorded, edited and published for our promotional purposes.
TOM creates your “speaker’s image” using your choice of photo, URL, and phrase. It’ll be on our website.
Our Wall of Fame
Our storytellers will be on our Wall of Fame (screenshot below). If you would like to change your photo/phrase/URL linked into your image, please contact Misako misako@tomstorytellerslab.com
